Mitchell & Ness

The name-giving founders of the company MITCHELL & NESS are Frank P. Mitchell, a former tennis and wrestling college champion, and Charles M. Ness a fanatical golfer. In 1904 the two opened a shop in Philadelphia, which initially specializes in tennis frames and golf clubs. Until MITCHELL & NESS became the official outfitter of the NFL team Philadelphia Eagles in 1933 the portfolio primarily comprised High School uniforms and outfits for the semi-professional sports teams in Philly and the surrounding area. Up to today M&N managed to settle license agreements with the National Basketball Association (NBA), the National Football Association (NFL), such as the National Hockey Association (NHL). These leagues are provided by the cult company with well established and successful caps, such as jerseys and jackets where use is made from legendary team logos and players of the past to create the special design. The clear focus of the MITCHELL & NESS sportswear brand lies clearly on retro and nostalgia. Sports fans treasure the typical and authentic retro-apparel character and make M&N SNAPBACKS and STRAPBACKS a long runner
